Week 6 of What I watched.
1. Room In Rome (2010): Camera movement is amazing, the actors breathtaking, but the music, and some what cheesey dialogue is sometimes cringe worthy. C
2. 2 Days in Paris (2007): How could you not love Julie Delpy? Even when shes being an inconsiderate bitch. This movie about paris that has nothing to do with Paris is hilarious and corkey. Some of the best comedy I’ve seen in a long time. A
3. Alice Doesnt Live Here Anymore (1976): Not exactly a Scorsese masterpiece. An honest look about a middle aged widow who decides to move cross the country in the 1970s. The only thing that keeps the movie alive is the interaction between the quick mouthed son and his sarcastic mother. Other than that Id stay stick with the old standbys. Still a nice introduction to Jodie Foster as an actress. B-
4. Best of The Beatles (2005) A fifth Beatle? Or maybe even the best one of them all. Pete Best, original drummer of the Beatles, used to make all the girls swoon. The groupies would request Paul and John to sit down so they can see handsome Pete . That wouldn’t do. The documentary goes into detail of Best’s life and his experience in the band. It also answers the question why was such a talented drummer kicked out of the band?It wasnt as quick as I would have like to have seen but since im on a Beatles kick It was a must. B-
